Our Story

Hello divers! Greetings from PapitonDive

Our journey began in 2019 with two liveaboard vessels, Papiton Lopi and Papiton Duwa, that sail and explore the breathtaking beauty of Komodo National Park. But we didn’t just fall in love with the surface, we were captivated by Komodo’s underwater world as well. This inspired us to grow our fleet and build a diving boat, a way to share the spectacular marine life of Komodo with people from all around the globe. We wanted our vessel to be more than just an ordinary boat, it had to be the best diving vessel on the island~! In 2024, that dream came true with the launch of PapitonDive, followed by the opening of Papiton Dive Center in 2025.

Our vessel, PapitonDive, was built in 2024 by the skilled hands of traditional Phinisi boat builders in Ara, Bulukumba, Sulawesi. The idea behind this vessel came from our vision: we wanted divers to enjoy not only the dive sites but also the entire voyage. With a boat larger than most standard diving vessels, we aim to offer unforgettable adventures both above and beneath the sea
