Diving & Marine Life
Komodo is incredible year-round:
- Dry Season (Apr–Nov): Calm seas, great visibility
- Rainy Season (Dec–Mar): Fewer boats, manta season!
Yes! Try our SSI Try Scuba program, no experience needed. One of our instructors will guide you safely and slowly through your first underwater breath.
Expect encounters with:
- Manta rays
- Turtles
- Reef sharks
- Macro life (nudibranchs, frogfish)
- Colorful coral reefs and massive schools of fish
They can be strong in certain areas, but don’t worry. At Papiton Dive, we carefully select dive sites based on your experience and comfort level. Safety first, always. Our dive masters are mostly local guides, so they understand the area better!
Most dive sites are 10–30 meters deep. Your maximum depth depends on your certification level and comfort.

Yes! Papiton Dive offers private boat charters for whole boat usage for diving or non-diving trip. Let us know your dream setup, we’ll make it happen
Of course! Our boats are snorkeler-friendly, and many sites have shallow reefs with incredible marine life.
Currently, night dive is not available
We will gather at Labuan Bajo Marina Harbor / Pelabuhan KP3 to depart. Our boat will be nearby.
We depart around 07:00 everyday, divers should arrive at least 06:45 at the boat.
We return around 15:30 – 16:30 back to Labuan Bajo harbor.
What to Bring & Prepare
- Towels
- Dry clothes
- Reef-safe sunscreen
- Dive card (if certified)
- Waterproof bag
- GoPro or camera
- Cash for park fees, crew tips.
Yes! Let us know what you’re bringing so we can prepare accordingly. We’ll provide any gear you’re missing.
Yes! We have GoPros and accessories available for rent—perfect for capturing your manta moment.
We highly recommend it for safety. If you don’t have one, dive computers are available to rent.
Sure, you can. However, please note that any belongings left on board will be entirely your responsibility. Papiton Dive cannot be held liable for any loss or damage.
Safety, Eco, and Kids
With Papiton Dive, we’ll make sure it’s a yes!. We use small groups, brief every dive, monitor conditions constantly, and carry full safety gear (oxygen, first aid, radios) on every boat. Our dive guides are mostly experienced locals so they really know the dive sites really well and current like no others.

We’re based in Labuan Bajo, Flores, just a few minutes from the harbor. This is your gateway to Komodo National Park! You can visit our office, just google it.
